Over recent weeks, several residents have raised concerns about foreign‑registered vehicles—particularly those displaying Kuwaiti number plates—driving around the city centre in an anti‑social and unsafe manner.
We want to reassure our community that your concerns have been heard and acted upon.
Since the start of this month, officers from C Relief NBO team have taken a proactive and targeted approach to address this issue. Patrols have been increased in key areas, and officers have been stopping vehicles linked to reports of anti‑social driving.
As a result of this activity:
- Several vehicles have been stopped and checked - A number of cars have been seized where drivers were found to be driving otherwise than in accordance with their driving licence - Drivers have been issued with Traffic Offence Reports for relevant violations
This work will continue, and we remain committed to keeping the city centre safe for everyone who lives, works, and visits here.
You Said, We Did: You told us about vehicles causing disruption and driving irresponsibly. We listened, and we’ve taken direct action to tackle the issue head‑on.
If you witness anti‑social driving, please continue to report it to us. Your information helps us target our patrols and take meaningful action.
Together, we can keep our streets safe.
